moving film that weaves archival footage and contemporary interviews
together with John Trudell’s own words and music in a mystic way.
The film artistically portrays the passionate, painful and multi-dimensional
life of this Dakota man.

Gloria De La Torre~Wycoff
in her book “Scarred by Scandal ~ Redeemed by Love: Triumph of

This is the story of a woman’s indomitable will. Physically scarred
as a child, and later scarred by a scandalous love affair, María,
an unmarried immigrant woman triumphs over rejection, banishment
from her family, a debilitating illness, and poverty.

Noxdiei is a multicultural
rock band from the San Fernando Valley in CA. They have songs
both in Spanish and English. Through their music they intend to
bring unity, harmony and conscious awareness, communicating directly
to the hearts, souls and minds of all the people, regardless of
their age, culture, nationality or religion.

ESCANDON
María Amparo Escandón,
a best-selling bilingual storyteller, published her first novel,
Esperanza’s Box of Saints and its Spanish version, Santitos
in 1999. She will be reading from her most recent book “Gonzalez
& Daughter Trucking and Co” an intoxicating mix of comedy
and tragedy about the father-daughter bonds and the power of female
friendships, where family is prison and prison becomes family.

of theatre workshops open to all in the community which will culminate
