February, 2006 A night of comedy with Bill Santiago, presenting his one man show, Spanglish 101: A total Immersion Comedic Excursion into Latino USA. Plus... Tia Chucha's 4th Year Anniversary Party!

December, 2005 Author reading with Sylvia Torti, author of The Scorpian's Tail. Dramatic reading with award-winning television director and author, Jesus Salvador. Poetry reading with author Luis J. Rodriguez at Both Sides of the Border, a major art exhibit of Latin American and Chicano art held at Carlotta's Passion Fine Art in Eagle Rock, California. Rodriguez reads from his latest book of poetry, My Nature is Hunger.

November, 2005 Book signing and print premiere with author Luis J. Rodriguez and artist Mark Vallen. Rodriguez reads from his latest book of poetry, My Nature is Hunger, and Vallen talks about the painting he created as the cover for the book. Prints of Vallen's artwork are also made available to the public for the first time. Rodriguez invites poets from around the L.A. area to read their works for peace, justice and a cooperative way of life at an event called - Poets Against War.

October, 2005 Screening of the documentary film Fidel, which focuses on the political impact the Cuban leader has had on the world. Live performance: Hazze Hip Hop Culture Dream Center with award winning singer song writer, Larisa Stow. Fundraiser for Tia Chucha's with the bands Lost Identity, Tremellow, Chronic Remorse.

Septembert, 2005 Author Reading with Sylvia Vasquez-daughter of Richard Vasquez, author of "Chicano," the book that popularized the term Chicano. Screening of the film Finger Dance by Michael Angelo Centeno - a film based on a short story by Luis J. Rodgriquez. After the Flood - a community forum on the hurricane Katrina tragedy. Open Mic with guest poet, Francisco Alarcon. Childrens Reading & Art Presentation - Iguana Magazine. Fundraiser for the EZLN with rap groups EL VUH and MEZKLAH.

August, 2005 Children's Book Reading & Signing with Daniel Olivas-author of "Benjamin and the Word". Live musical performances with VALCORE, Johnny's Gone Mad & the Rollercoasters, The Bentleys, and El Van Goghs.

APRIL, 2005 -update Author Luis J. Rodgriguez launches a book tour for his long awaited novel, Music of the Mill. Rodriguez appears at Tia Chucha's to read from and sign his novel. Live Chicano/Mexicano music provided by Amor Y Paz.

APRIL, 2005 Author Ralph Armbuster-Sandoval and his book, Globalization And Cross-Border Labor Solidarity. Ex-political prisoner and Black Panther Ashanti Alston on Zapatismo in Communities of Color. Artist J. Michael Walker and his Santos of the Valley series.

MARCH, 2005 KPFK Radio host, Jerry Quickly reports on his trip to Baghdad, Iraq in an evening called Beats For Baghdad. Film makers Roberto Rodriguez and Patrisia Gonzalez discuss their tri-lingual documentary on the Uto-Nahuatl people We Are One.
