"Through the Wall: A Year In Havana"

Margot Pepper has written a politically sophisticated memoir from her unique vantage point as a journalist working for a year in Special Period Cuba. Interweaving her past as the Mexico City-born daughter of a blacklisted Hollywood producer with the travails of her daily life in Cuba and the larger context of Cuban society, her work is imbued with her political analysis and convictions and captures the feelings of a struggling Cuba.

Scrapbook Workshop: Sharing Stories and Experiences

Learn what materials are needed for scrapbooking, how to use them, how to keep costs down, how to manipulate photos, and what you can do to "fix" images that may be damaged. This is a hands-on class; all materials will be provided at no charge. Please bring 4-6 photos of one event or theme to put a scrapbook page together.
