Mexihcayotl

Tuesday/Martes @ 8:00- 9:30pm

The focus of this workshop is to develop our own cultural-historical lens through which we can interpret and analyze life. This is achieved by critically analyzing history through the indigenous perspective and by academically challenging the “official history” we’re often taught in educational institutions. As accustomed by our ancestors, we are inspired by the great native civilizations that preceded us. For this reason, we call this ongoing study of ourselves Mexihcayotl*, which literally means “Mexicanness.”

*Nahuatl etymology: mexihcatl (Mexican) + the suffix yotl (state of, condition of, quality of being…).

Facilitated by/ Conducido por Huiztli, email:  mezhuitzilin@yahoo.com
